These steam wagons were the earliest versions of the equivalent 'rigid trucks' used on todays roads. 
Popular with haulage firms across the world, they were an ideal way of moving large quantities of product up and down the country.
 
 However since the internal combustion engine had become a significant development in the new world, manufactures had largely all gone out of business by the 1930's. However some still remained on roads and in use up until 1950. 
They still remain an important part of road haulage history from across the world.
