1930's 7Ton Truck (N Gauge / Scale) 1:148 scale. The AEC Matador truck had continued production for over 40 years, originally adapted by the British Army, many of these trucks found themselves shipped worldwide. Post-war, the Matador was found in civilian use as a recovery truck, a showman's vehicle, and general contractor use. It was also useful for forestry work because of its good off-road performance. When used as a bus fleet recovery truck, many were fitted with lifting jibs for suspended towing and re-bodied with semi-enclosed bodies, often based on bodywork from scrapped buses.
Recovery Truck version also available!
This listing is for our UNPAINTED set, supplied in premium BLACK resin at a discounted price.
Black resin is advantageous for painting, as it eliminates the need to paint undercarriages, hulls, boilers, wheels, inside cabs or other hard to reach places. This is why we choose black resin for all our painted models too! The coverage for painting black is comparable to grey or white resin and can be easily achieved with 1-2 coats of acrylic model paints.
Perfect for the DIY model enthusiast!
(We also offer Painted variations of all our models in our other listings!)
